Yes. it's precisely what you are thinking xD
As you might have guessed by now, I'm into Don Quixote :la:
My last deviation gave the signs, and now, this is what follows!
Some of you folks had even asked me what Sancho and D. Quixote would look like in my style (and dog form, logically xD) so here you go!

Besides the old, boring school projects and tests we had based on this book during my student years, I've always loved it. I loved everything about those two when I was little, and we even had a little sculpture of them at home (which looked exactly like this: [link]) but we lost it when we moved :(

Life sort of found a way to bring me back to those tales of funny (des)adventures, and last friday (not yesterday) I ran the whole city looking for the original translation, with the very words of Cervantes, but in portuguese. I actually found them, two volumes, the size of bibles xD

And believe me if you want to, I have finished the first volume yesterday. I have no idea how I did it so quickly, specially considering it's size, but wow. And I say, it was absolutely worth it! A lot of rude humor, of course, considering the time it was written, and full of parts you feel guilty for laughing, but Don Quixote and Sancho are so believable and likable you even forget you are actually reading a book! I like how this book makes me dream, and makes me cheer for characters.

I wouldn't recommend this book to everyone tho. You need to have some sort of taste for this kind of humor :P (the vocabulary is another thing. Gosh, ancient portuguese! It's almost impossible to understand a single word in a whole phrase!). But so far, I'm loving it!!

anyways, enough blabbing for today xD
I'm sorry I took so long to reappear here on DA, I was going through some things :P
I have a whole lot of things to reply to now! I need to get started right away!!:faint:

thank you very much for every comment and fave!:thanks::hug::glomp:
it means a lot to me!!!

Oh my, I love both these books!! Though, I absolutely agree with what you said here, I should think hard before recommending it to someone, but I love Cervantes' specific, rude yet intelligent irony! When you're getting into it, you start to laugh really hard. And can't quit the book till the end XD Also, it was so interesting to find out, what popular images of Don Quixote has almost nothing to do with original.

Btw, I'm so happy to find someone who has read these books too. There's very little amount of us! :D
And your doggies fit great, I even remembered all these times I was reading the books. I really like what your dogs are based on original characters, it's well-seen in them.

(Sorry if I'm late with a comment, since this art is dated by 2012, but I couldn't help it!)
