Based on this weird but awesome song called "Fog of War" by Young Dreams: [link]
YAYYY something different!
(almost died in the process)
Yup, that's Steban! OMG why can't I stop drawing him??? it's so addicting! you should totally try it sometime!
lol just kiddin xD
But seriously. I'm addicted to drawing him with headdresses. I love. Headdresses.
This is a drawing I've been waiting a veeeeery long time to do. I've really been into Up and Ahead lately, like I've never been with any other creation of mine. And it's simply amazing what this story has already brought to me!
Since the first time I presented U&A to you guys, the concept has already changed a million times, naturally, but it had a drastic change during the last couple of months. Funnily enough, it turns out this story won't have anything to do with your classic western. It's quite different and independent, in terms of feeling. I can't explain how, that's why I plan on showing you
consider this picture the first example!
I'm not sure whether you guys are into indie music, but the feeling I've been trying to capture comes from those amazing songs. "Lord Huron", probably my current favorite band, has had a major influence on U&A, for example. I have other pictures planned for their songs, but if you want to check out their songs now, please do so, it's absolutely worth it. You'll probably be surprised to hear that I associated it so much with my story, since their songs have much to do with western, but trust me! It's gonna be awesome!
I gave all that I had on this, seriously -_- this was the first time in my life I tried this kind of painting technic: no lineart, only the brush running free. And I did this with no tutorials nor references, which killed me even more!
Background was based on William Turner's amazing paintings, specially [link]
And the huge inspiration insight this beautiful picture by =Lhuin
gave me [link]
Thank you for every comment and fave!!
I hope you all have a great end of week!
JOOOOOIN FOR MOAR!!!
