So yeah, this is probably my last deviation of 2011 :)
it's my character Shogan, from OMFA. I don't think I have updated his character sheet here yet, but you might know him from this page here: [link] (he's in the first panel, stretching). He's one of my personal favorite characters xD

Shogan is probably the biggest peace-maker of all OMFA comic, and thats why I picked him to be the star of this drawing =D
I want my 2012 to be a year full of colors and peace :la:
and I wish you all exactly the same thing!:hug:

Anywaaays, I just wanted to try on some new color effects, cause as you probably noticed, I'm absolutely fascinated by the colors of the sun :)
so I went around DA for some inspiration, and found the colors of *Daesiy's picture, "Arja" ([link]) absolutely inspiring! So I tried something like it here, but not using her drawing as a literal reference. I wasn't going to publish this, but I don't know what got into me :/

I did this drawing listening to Coldplay's album Prospekt's March, and specially to the songs Life in Technicolor and Glass of Water.

I absolutely adore the lighting and...just the general mood of this pic. Listening to Coldplay and seeing this picture is just wonderful. The moods of the songs mingle so well with the feeling this evokes. It's one of those moments that sort of touch your soul and you know something wonderful has happened *casually wipes tear from eye, pretending nobody seen that* :,)

Wow, this is truly a beautiful picture. How the deep blue sky blends with the sunset is stunning, You have perfected a very realistic and beautiful sunset. You are the master at digitally blending colours, I don't know how you do it! O.o
Shogan sounds like a very interesting character, and his design matches his peaceful personality.
But even more so, it matches this brilliant picture! Such a calm and peaceful mood is given off, you put so much emotion into your art. :) I can't wait to see some more Shogan in OMFA!
