A Christmas Tale Of Wolpy and the Cubs

The wolves of Gangvar pack were making the preparations for one of the most important celebrations of the year: Christmas day!
Everyone was excited and prepared it very well: Sansenite, Urten and Starkiller hunt down some rabbits for the Christmas dinner. Moondance, Pazu and Dawnsoul chose a nice pine tree, and Brushtail and Tyr went after all kinds of beautiful ornaments they could find and think of: nice fruits, frozen flowers...
Wolpy, on the other hand, just couldn't concentrate in any kind of aid: he would only play around and be silly, holding everyone up (as always!).
Sansenite, seeing his brother doing absolutely nothing to help, decided to give him the job of finding a big ornament, (and the most important one) to put in the top of the pine tree. This would keep the Omega away to let the rest of the pack work in peace!
Wolpy got all excited with the job, and went to look for it right away. Dambiu, Vick and Patch, the trouble-lurking cubs, heard about Wolpy's little mission, and decided to follow him.
It took them a lot of time and a lot of little fights and childish arguing to finally find something interesting in the woods. And oh my, how beautiful it was!
In the top of a lone pine tree, standing right in the end of a hill, there was one of the most beautiful and incredible ice formation they had ever seen: the pines of that tree had frozen all together, forming a huge "ice star" that even looked like it was made of pure shiny crystal. They agreed it was simply perfect for their christmas tree.
But how would they get the star?
Wolpy tried to climb as high as he could (after falling several times, of course!XD), but couldn't reach the top of the tree, though he always got very close. Vick then had an idea: "What if Wolpy climbed the tree, and then pulled us, one by one, to make some sort of tower to get the frozen star?"
Everyone agreed that Vick's idea would do it!
Wolpy climbed first, then Dambiu, then Patch... it was getting hard for Wolpy to hold it. he was standing on his back legs, and on only two brunches. Vick was the last one to climb, but it was just perfect: she easily reached the frozen star, but she wasn't strong enough to take it off. "Come on Vick! You can do it!" Dambiu shouted. "You can do it, sis!" he said. "Just pull the star!!! It's starting to get hard down here to hold you three!" said Wolpy.
Patch, who was near the star's base, put his paws around it and shouted to Vick "We count to 3 and pull the star together! ready?"
"OK!"
"1...2...3... PULL!!!"


By the same time the star came out, The brunches where Wolpy was standing on instantly broke, and he felt on the ground on his back, followed by Dambiu, Patch, Vick... And the Ice star!

Since it was a hill, it didn't take long until Wolpy, and the three cubs who were on his belly with the ice star, began to slide down.
"AAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGWHATDOWEDO???" Shouted Vick, while Wolpy luckily deviated from the trees on the way down, going faster and faster. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHRRRRGH!!!!! OMGWEAREGONNADIE!!!!"

Suddenly, They all saw the worse: Tyr and Brushtail were coming back from their "christmas ornament searching", with a huge amount of little frozen fruits and flowers on a big piece of old caribou skin, made to carry stuff like that. They didn't suspect anything.......
"AAAAAAAAAAAARGH GET OUT OF THE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!" screamed Wolpy, desperately. But it was too late. Wolpy hit both wolves.
Fruits and frozen flowers went flying everywhere, Tyr and Brushtail went sliding downhill with Wolpy and the cubs.
It didn't take long until They reached Gangvar territory's center again, where all the rest of the pack was working.
With a beautiful entrance, the tree wolves came in sliding and screaming like crazy, until they hit the main pine tree, bringing down all of the ornaments that had been carefully placed.
Sansenite, hearing the creams and the noises, came as quickly as he could to the territory's center, only to find Wolpy and the cubs fallen upside down, surrounded by fruits and flowers, and Tyr with his head stuck in the snow, swearing very strange names! XD
"Just WHAT ON EARTH happened here???" asked Sansenite, confused and irritated. Then, his eyes found Wolpy's grin smile... "WOLPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I-I can explain that...! really!"
Tyr finally managed to get his head of the snow, and with the most scary rage expression in his face, he growled at Wolpy. "YOU STUPID RETARDED INCONSEQUENT OMEGA!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME WE SPENT GETTING ALL THOSE FRUITS AND FLOWERS????????? JUST FOR YOU TO APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE AND HIT US WITH THAT--" Tyr stopped to look at the Ice Star, half broken in the ground. "...WTIH THAT THING!".
Wolpy looked at their beautiful star, the one they worked so hard to get, broken in the ground. His ears lowed.
"PERHAPS WE COULD USE YOU AS THE NEW ORNAMENT IN THE TOP OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE!!! I would be pleased to arrange that!" Said Tyr, impulsively. Wolpy closed his eyes, just waiting to be hit, but Sansenite got on Tyr's way. "That's enough, Tyr!" "What??? are you out of your mind, Sansenite??? That omega almost spoiled with everything!!!" "I know, but it's not the time for violence. For now, let him be." "Yes Tyr! It's NO time for violence!" repeated Wolpy, in a very provoking tone. "And you shut up!" replied Sansenite. "Stupid Omega.... just wait until Christmas is over!" Tyr said angrily, as he walked away. Some other wolves came closer, curious to see what was happening.
From among them, Urten, the great Alpha and father of Wolpy and Sansenite, came out, and with a stern and cold expression. Looking at the whole scene of pure mess, he turned to Wolpy.
"Have you done all this mess?..." he said, expressionless. "I-I... I truly didn't mean to!... It was all a big accident, you see, I--" He stopped. He looked at his father's heartless expression, and just couldn't continue talking. That look... Was like making a whole into his own soul.
"You won't be celebrating with us tonight." Urten said, at least. "But I-I..." "If you are lucky, you will be able to eat whats left of our dinner tomorrow." watching that terrible scene, Patch couldn't stay quiet. "Alpha Urten!" he said, determined. "Please, don't do that! it's Christmas! Thats just not fair!". "You three" He said, turning to the cubs "You were part of this mess too. There will be no celebration for any of you either. End of discussion" He finished, walking away. Soon, all of the other wolves dispersed and went back to the decoration and preparation of the party. Wolpy simply let himself down, next to the cubs, and didn't say a word. He felt too ashamed.
Vick slowly approached to the broken star of ice. "We can still celebrate Christmas, you know..." she said, quietly, pulling the star next to Wolpy. He looked at her with hopeless eyes. "Vick's right! we don't need them to celebrate!" said Dambiu, getting up. "We could make the BEST Christmas ever!!!"complemented Patch, with an excited expression. "What? pff... right..." said Wolpy, mocking. "And how do you plan on doing that?" "Well..." said Vick, with a funny grin "We already have all of the decoration!" she looked around at the flowers and frozen fruits. "We will make the rest of the pack feel jealous of our celebration!!!". Wolpy couldn't help it but laugh. "Alright, alright... we could try that then...!" he said at last, getting in a happier mood again. "YEEEAH!!!!" the three cubs said together, running around and howling in happiness.
Now they were determinate: They wouldn't let themselves down only because Urten wanted to spoil their Christmas. No! they were ready to do what it takes to make the best celebration EVER!
At the border of the territory, the wolves found a beautiful pine tree, even more beautiful than the one in the center of the pack. They decorated it with the flowers and fruits together, and made wolf sculptures in the snow with sticks and fruits! (thought they looked like anything but wolves!XD)

It was already night when Wolpy and the cubs finally finished their preparations. Everything looked perfect! And they were so proud!
With their happiness, they soon began to play games and have fun in the snow, under their lovely Christmas tree.
Dambiu and Patch imitated Tyr, back when they hit that tree, making funny faces and saying "OMG I SPENT SO MUCH TIME GETTING ALL THE FRUITS AND FLOWERS!" and Wolpy and Vick only laughed. They chased stars and played with snow balls all night long. Their laughter could be heard miles away from there, and the other wolves of Gangvar wished they were having as much fun. Spending their Christmas with Urten wasn't much fun at all...
By the end of the night, Wolpy and the cubs were tired of laughing and running around, and finally laid down to watch the stars and their amazing Christmas tree. They were glad they could have a celebration of their own, in the end!...
After some time of silence, Vick looked at Wolpy. "You know... If there's something that truly is missing here, is that beautiful iced star we found today to put on the top of our tree... But now that it is broken, we can't have a star to shine in our Christmas..." she said, lowing her ears. "Vick's right... Our Christmas is not complete without that star..." said Dambiu, with a disappointed expression. "I must agree... it gave us so much trouble for nothing in the end!... We were even excluded from Gangvar's celebration!" agreed Patch. Wolpy stayed in silence for some time, looking at the night sky, from where tiny snow flakes were beginning to fall.
"You are wrong, we do have our Christmas star." he said at last. The cubs looked at each other, confused. "We may not have the iced star we were trying so hard to get, but we gained a even more powerful and shiny star then that one. But inside of our hearts. This is the star that made us do so many beautiful things today, and that made us have so much will to celebrate..."
The cubs once again looked at each other, and stayed some time in silence.
"I didn't understand a word you said, but it was cute!" said Vick, with big shiny eyes.
"YEAH! and if it wasn't for that Iced star, we would have never had the best Christmas of all time!!" said Dambiu.
Wolpy giggled. He himself had no idea of what he was talking about back then. But somehow, it seemed so right... Right as he never felt before about anything.
Wolpy and the cubs spent the rest of the nigh laughing and thanking the Moon for every good moment they had had this year. They ended up sleeping all together, with big smile in their faces...
that was the BEST Christmas EVER!




OK... you can all call me retarded now...
I must admit, I didn't think of this story before writing it... I came up with the whole thing while I was writing...
So I'm really sorry for wasting your time!
The pic represents the morning after their Christmas night... Dawnsoul didn't come to see Wolpy because Urten didn't let her, but she made sure to keep a big piece of rabbit hidden away from the Alpha's eyes to share with Wolpy and the cubs during the day of Christmas!
